Asahina Hira, an Ishiken blind Crane Clan Void Asahina, became the Keeper of Void in 1166 after he passed the challenge laid down by Rosoku. Hira was also uncle to the Keeper of Fire Kakita Tsuken. He retired as the monk Hira.
