CTU Tacoma was a domestic unit of the Counter Terrorist Unit in the city of Tacoma, Washington. Before transferring to Los Angeles, George Mason served as District Director for CTU Tacoma. (Findings at CTU) When Mason visited the L.A. office to assign Jack Bauer to oversee the opening of the original CTU New York, Mason bemoaned Tacoma's relative isolation and unimportance in the chain of command, apparently blaming Bauer for his getting assigned there.
