China has a long history, stretching back thousands of years to the original dynasties of ancient China. However, its recent history begun with the decline of the People's Republic Of China in the late 2030's and early 2040's brought on by excessive industrialisation in the early 21st Century. This eventually brought about the collapse of the Communist Chinese state in 2044. The ensuing civil war was quickly calmed by the military and the Chinese Nationalist Rebels were installed as the new Chinese Government.
