Sir Mardor was the commander of the city of Vitross, a border town belonging to Great Arcan. During the events of Half-Dead, the campaign from Heroes of Might and Magic IV, the Necromancer Gauldoth Half-Dead was brought before him, accused of killing a baby. Sir Mardor sentenced him to be burnt at the stake, but the Necromancer escaped, and managed to raise an army of undead.
