Bristol Rovers and Crawley Town met in a competitive match for the first time on 3 September 2011, a League Two game that ended in a convincing 4–1 victory for Crawley. Rovers have yet to earn a win against them, recording a draw and a defeat during the 2011–12 season. Crawley were founded in 1896 and spent 115 years playing non-league football before being promoted into The Football League for the first time in 2011.
