The Birthright War began in January 3005 when the Parallax Clawed Fist Fleet launched a surprise attack against Sivad. However, it wasn't exactly a surprise: the infamous Volari had contracted Lester Haskins and Above Nature to clone a copy of their goddess, Nalia, using an urn containing her cremated remains. Saboteurs thwarted Volari's plans by stealing the Nalia clone from the Tomin Sirocco facility; however, the whereabouts of the urn are presently unknown.
