The Republic of Salisse (Catalan: República de Saliça) is an insular sovereign state in the European continent. It is located in waters between the British isles and the Norther Spanish coast. Salisse declared independence from France in 1871 after mostly Catalan and Italian residents of Salisse attempted to secede from France in the Salissian War of Independence.
