The Moscow Rural Fire District protects about 128 square miles in Latah County, Idaho. Moscow Rural, as it is commonly referred to, also covers the city of Viola, Idaho. The department operates out of two stations, the first is located in the same lot as Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 on 1300 White Avenue. This is the main station of Moscow Rural Fire District, it is a 5 bay station which houses 7 apparatus, the brush trucks are commonly parked inbetween doors and respond after the first out engine. Moscow Rural Fire District jointly operates out of Moscow Volunteer Fire Station 3. Station 3 is a 6 bay station which houses 3 rural and 3 city apparatus.
