Toa Metru Matau encountered this creature while traveling through the underground tunnels of Mata Nui. The Red Serpent attacked Matau with its lightning powers, and the electrical attack was so violent that it fused Matau to one of the tunnel’s walls. The other Toa Metru rescued him, and once the Toa renewed their journey, the Red Serpent changed its armor colors to blend with the tunnels walls, pretending to ambush the Toa Metru later. That Red Serpent was later found dead in the Karzahni’s tendrils.
