The Prime Industries pirate cartel was an organization who operated out of the Gorn Hegemony border zones with the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire in order to loot from the ships of all three empires. One of its ships, the one that became the GHS Marianela, was built to look like a Gorn freighter and was captured by the Gorn Space Command. Due to a subspace anomaly, her crew was taken to a zone bordering the Romulan Star Empire and located a Mirak-held planet, one of the bitter rivals of the Prime Industries. (RIS Bouteina)
