Dorothy "Dot" Stockwell was the one who called on Mike Baldwin and told him that she wanted to know the name of her husband Wilf's mistress. Mike duly warned Elsie Tanner that Dot was on the warpath. Dot went into the Baldwin's Casuals, stopped production and asked Ivy Tilsley, who Wilf had been sleeping with. Elsie soon owned up and Dot told her to stay away from Wilf. Elsie refused to listen to Dot's threats and told her it was clear why he left her. Dot felt sure Wilf would return to her if Elsie finished with him.
