Gabriel was a 7th generation Warrior Salubri, childe of Hillel and Sire to Althea of Phillipus. As so happens to all traditional Salubri, his birth name was not Gabriel but this was the angelic name he received after the Blooding. There is another older Salubri warrior, one of the founders of the warrior caste, who also goes by the name Gabriel; his relations to the younger Gabriel, if any, are unknown.
