Heraclius III was the fourteenth Emperor of the Heracleidae Empire, reigning from 763 to 718 BC. The Persican state was the precursor of modern Diadochia. He is remembered for introducing civil, military, and political reforms into the Heracleidae Empire. Heraclius III seized the Heracleidae throne during a civil war and had his brother Eurysthenes I executed and killed all the male members of the dynasty.
