Lieutenant Latimer was a male Human Starfleet officer who lived during the mid-23rd century. He served in the command division aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk, during a historic five-year mission that starship undertook. He served as one of the ship's navigators in 2267. That same year, Latimer was the pilot of the shuttlecraft Galileo while it was collecting data on the Murasaki Effect. He was the first of two officers killed by the inhabitants of the planet Taurus II, following the shuttle's crash there. (TOS: "The Galileo Seven" )
