Columbia was an American educational institution in the New York City area. Around the time of Day 8, ex-President Charles Logan had a scheduled public appearance at Columbia. Jason Pillar described it a "stroke of good luck," as it made him available in person to help mediate the peace agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Kamistan after President Omar Hassan's assassination.
