L-4D was a librarian droid assigned to the Order of Keltrayu's training area, the Citadel. She lived in the library attached to the Citadel's dormitories, and assisted Novices in conducting academic or personal research, as well as helping them complete their homework. Basic-speaking Novices of the Order nicknamed her "Elf" and "Forty".
