Betty Burd was Canada's version of a Sheena-type jungle character who appeared in later issues of Dime Comics and Triumph Comics. She was a beautiful, young authoress writing a book on life in a jungle. To get her material first-hand, she decided to live in the African jungle for 6 months, armed only with a powerful long-bow and an immeasurable amount of fortitude.
