To secure a base of operations on the other side of the Dragonsaddle Mountains, Baron Von Tarkin decided to invade the fortress and make it his own. The town was defended by Rictis Iblemen, a powerful Paladin, and his troops. They tried to hold the undead armies back, but were ultimately unsuccessful, and Von Tarkin made the castle his own. According to a road sign, Angelmist Castle is located thirteen leagues from the capital of Rylos.
