The missiles are mounted in two pods on YSS-774 Spathas, each next to the cockpit. Ten missiles (five from each launcher) are fired every two seconds and can home onto targets. These missiles have considerable power, considering the small size of the fighters. Unlike the Medusa missiles of YSS-1000 Sabres, Stheno missiles are effective against energy shielding and can even damage and penetrate the hulls of warships.
