The First Utapau Civil War was an open conflict on Utapau between the indigenous Gungans and the Human settlers on the planet. The war resulted in the Gungan's being sent to live at the bottom of the Aquarian Ocean, which allowed the Humans to rule the planet's surface. The conflict caused tension between the two races, and it also allowed the Gungan cities to unify into an alliance. Prejudices developed that cut off the two species entirely, and trade agreements that lasted for a few years after the conflict eventually dissolved.
