Once, in the Elder days, Morgoth had tried to seduce Gaerys, servant of Ulmo. However as it is told, Gaerys repented soon and returned to his former Master. However during the time of Gaerys' rebellion, many lesser Sea-creatures or Water Spirits became corrupted or cursed. Among these rare Water-Demons (Q."Neniraukar" S."Ninrogath") were demonic Serpents and giant kraken and Belegaerogs. The Helegrogs were a different kind, the descendants of Morgoth's oldest servants, cold as himself and his icy realm.
