The Lighthouse Donation (also known as the Save the Lighthouse Fundraiser) was an event in 2006, where the Lighthouse and the Beacon were being constructed. Penguins could donate up to 750 coins via the newspaper for the construction. In return for their donation, a penguin would receive a Lighthouse Shirt. This was compared to Coins for Change. The donations given for the Lighthouse Donation would count to either one of the two different possible redesigns of the Lighthouse as part of the Lighthouse Restoration Project, and eventually one was decided.
