Force translate was discovered by Sek'nos Lanith (its only user, and it is only mentioned in his holocron). Lanith had an extraordinary skill to calm animals and aliens alike, and this can be attributed to Force translate. It was also used to negotiate with the Yuuzhan Vong, and Lanith frequently spoke with them.
