The Mante (Taxonomically Balena ambulans; dubbed Land Sharks by humans) are a race of bipedal marine-based mammals native to the pelagic planet of Moi. Their biology allows for them to surface onto and walk around on land-environments, yet they still must filter their oxygen through water. Therefore, it is necessary for them to return to a marine setting at least once every hour. They are a relatively new species, and were Tier 4 before their indoctrination into the Interstellar Union.
