A veterinarian was a doctor qualified to treat diseased or injured animals. Hayca Mekket was a Mandalorian veterinarian, who owned veterinary offices in Keldabe, capital city of the planet Mandalore. Mekket, who often treated nerfs, was called upon to treat Mand'alor Boba Fett in the year 40 ABY. She injected Fett with a cure for the tumors that were plaguing him in his advanced age, a service for which she only asked for a quilt in return as payment from the Mandalorian leader.
