Ethyl Mermaid is a mermaid that appears in the "Mermaids" episode of Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures. Ernie meets Ethyl and the two play tag. Ethyl agrees to go meet Bert, but gets caught in some garbage along the way. Bert hears her cries for help and comes to help her. Her name is a spoof of Ethel Merman.
