The Gon'rai Rebellion was a Klingon rebellion that occurred within the Modern Age after Gowron's ascension to the title of Chancellor of the High Council of the Klingon Empire. The Klingon Defense Force was called in to suppress the rebellion with one of the participants being Lomakh who aided Gowron's forces in the suppression operations. A year later, a ceremony would take place that commemorated Gowron's victory in the Gon'rai Rebellion. Kahless, son of Kahless would remember encountering Lomakh at the ceremony. (TNG novel: Kahless)
