Goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall joined Rovers on loan from Millwall on new year's day 2013 on a loan deal that lasted until the end of the 2012–13 season. He was drafted in due to an injury to the club's senior goalkeeper, Scott Bevan, causing him to miss the entire season. By the time his loan expired at the end of the season he had made 22 appearances, all of which were in League Two.
