Rond Vidar was a brilliant young scientist and invetor of the 'time cube', a device that could send a person through time, and bring them back again, without the cube itself travelling with the person. For twice saving the Legion from the machinations of his father, Universo, the Legion of Super-Heroes awarded him honorary membership of the Legion. At some point, Rond was recruited by the Guardians of the Universe to the role of Green Lantern, a role his father had once held before he became a renegade.
