Crossbowmen upgrade from Classical Age Archers, thereby receiving +10 hit points and +2 attack strength. Crossbowmen receive no upgrade in the Gunpowder Age. In the Enlightenment Age they upgrade to Musketeers, along with the Arquebusiers - Foot Archers units become obsolete and the unit class is merged into the Gunpowder Infantry line.
