He resembled an anthropomorphic mantis and wore a fan-like headdress. His fabulous treasure, called the Akotek Treasure, was buried with him when he died. Akotek's tomb was hidden on an island, the location of which was known only to Krakiota the Sea Serpent. The tomb was sealed and whoever broke the seal would be cursed for all eternity.
