The Third Zone, possibly also known as the Nine Planets, was an area of the Mutter's Spiral twelve days from Earth by hyperspace travel. The Androgum homeworld may have been located there as they were used for menial labour, and nargs was the currency used. By the 20th century the Third Zone had several governments that pulled together to create Space Station Camera where some of the greatest intellectuals in the universe gathered. Humans had not reached this part of the galaxy but were known to the Third Zone as "Tellurians." The Third Zoners were familiar with transmat technology as well as adept at technologically augmenting other species, turning them into mega geniuses.
