Suicide and Redemption is the first instrumental track since 1988's To Live Is To Die from the album...And Justice For All. Clocking in at 9:59, this is the longest song on the album, and one of the longest songs by Metallica to date. There are only two songs longer: the uncut version of Load's The Outlaw Torn (10:48), which was only released as a b-side and the Mercyful Fate medley on Garage Inc.(11:11), There are fans that do not count these songs and consider this the longest song.
