Bayushi Nanu was a famous swordsman and sensei of the Scorpion Clan who married to Bayushi Oruko. They had a daughter, Bayushi Naruhi, and a younger son, Bayushi Toshimo. In 1176 the couple were present when Naruhi married with Hida Demopen, the hero of the Empire. She took her husband's family name becoming Hida Naruhi.
