The Snow Plain (P) was named so for the snow that came down from the nearby mountains onto the plain every winter. Only the Unicorn knew what laid beyond the mountains. The few safe passes discovered by Unicorn scouts had not been drawn in the Imperial Maps, but were known by Unicorn caravan masters, who had them in maps written in the Moto, Mekhem or Naga tongues. The plains had valuable Diamond Mines, of open-pit layout.
