That year, she attended the Klingon Physicians Enclave conference in Novat, and provided aid to the victims of an aircar crash that occurred at the same time, along with Doctors B'Oraq and Kandless. At the recommendation of B'Oraq, Chancellor Martok appointed Valatra to the newly-formed Klingon Medical Authority. (KE novel: A Burning House)
