Imperial Currency is the monetary system used, officially, by the Empire of Aht Urhgan, the major eastern empire in Final Fantasy XI. This is mostly true for quests or purchasing certain items or services, but most every vendor and NPC in Aht Urhgan and the other minor cities of the East use gil, the traditional currency for all Final Fantasy games.
