Aurilan was a Jedi Knight who at one point in history served the Jedi Order. Among Aurilan's contributions was the authoring of the book, Reflections on Form III: Unraveling the Contradiction of Power and Protection. At least one copy was stored within the archives of the Jedi sanctuary on Delriss, where it survived the Clone Wars in the abandoned facility.
