David Benoit is an American pianist, composer, and producer. He has handled the musical score for many of the later Peanuts specials, released the memorial album Here's to You, Charlie Brown: 50 Great Years!, and has notably performed Vince Guaraldi covers such as "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" and "Linus and Lucy". More recently, he contributed to the score for The Peanuts Movie done by Christophe Beck. He co-wrote the music to Garfield's Feline Fantasies and Garfield Gets a Life with Desiree Goyette. He also contributed the song Spare Time to the Am I Cool or What? album.
