D-Isl was one of the ten Luminoth Keybearers appearing in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The death of this warrior came when the Ing either killed the Luminoth, or made it self-terminate, rather than becoming a weapon for the Ing Horde in Storage Cavern A. D-Isl was in the process of being possessed by an Ing at the time of his/her death, but the body lacks the discolouration and mutations characteristic of a Darkling. Other than one Logbook entry by A-Kul calling the warrior steadfast, other traits about D-Isl are unknown.
