The decasecond (das) is a unit of time in the International System of Units, defined as 101 seconds using the SI prefix system. This metric unit can be used to specify the amount of time short events last, ranging from seconds to couple minutes, such as the length of time one takes to wash their hands, walk to a house across the street, and even the amount of time takes to read this very article. There are 360 decaseconds in an hour, which is same value as the number of degrees in a circle.
