Salt Walther (November 22, 1947 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Dayton, OH. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Walther's debut came in 1975, when he competed at Michigan. Starting 21st in the field, Walther just simply kept out of trouble to record a solid 17th place finish. Walther also competed at Daytona in Walter Ballard's car that year, finishing 37th after a water pump issue. Walther's final race came back in the Daytona 500 in 1977. Although he was not able to duplicate his 1976 success, Walther started 25th and finished a mid-pack 24th despite a crash.
