Actually a small moon orbiting a gas giant, Carter world was an outer colony settled in the early days of slipspace travel. The colonist's ship went far off course, and they crashed on Carter's World and began settling it. Little did they know that the unique radiation was quickly altering there genetic structure. Several decades later, it became visible. A small minority of the children born were born "perfect" and it was only these children who were seen by offworlders. This gave the people of Carter's World the reputation of being "angels." In 2532, a Covenant attack force attacked, and glassed the planet.
