Kevin Lockhart was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he transferred to the Grayson Space Navy as a loan officer after a bitter divorce. Having heard of Grayson woman's different attitudes, he harassed Midshipwoman Claire Bedlam Lecroix aboard his new ship, the destroyer GNS Manasseh. The Ensign responded by hitting him. The incident was witnessed by the tactical officer, Lieutenant Loyd, who informed the executive officer, causing Lockhart's transfer from the ship. (HHA6.5: OS)
