With the Parthian leadership dealing poorly with the internal consequences of their defeat in 870(117) the regions of Assyria, even Ctesiphon, revolted and became friends of Rome in 871. In 910(157) Assyria was annexed and organised into its present form by Cæsar Antonivs. Assyria's continually resurfacing cultural friction and general dissatisfaction with Roman governance delayed its admission to the Senate until 2093(1340).
