José Pimentel was an illustrator for the now-defunct Innovation comics. Working exclusively with a paint medium, he provided a dark, Gothic texture to compliment the style and theme of the Dark Shadows mythology. As well as providing interior artwork, José also supplied the back cover portrait illustrations for Innovation's entire Dark Shadows bibliography. In 2005 José Pimentel began providing embellishment work for Marvel Comics and has inked several issues of the Amazing Spider-Man. His contributions to Dark Shadows include: Dark Shadows: Book Two #4.
