Borzoy was the father to Symko and was the lord's hunter in Crow's Perch before Vserad (Velen's former lord) fled during the third Nilfgaard-Nordling War. As this title probably made him the best hunter in the village, he decided to take it upon himself to go kill an unknown beast nesting near the area. However, he vastly underestimated the danger and was consequently killed by the Shrieker, leaving his son an orphan.
