Robin Hess is a contemporary Oz author. He has written Christmas in Oz (1995) and L. Frank Baum and The Perfect Murder (2009). His earliest Oz book, Toto and the Cats of Oz, remained unpublished until 2013, because it conflicted with the copyrights to Ruth Plumly Thompson's books. A retired minister, Hess lives in Washington State with his wife.
