The Stormblade is the sword of the Bladestorm family, passed from father to son through the years. From the great-grandfather of Thorwald Bladestorm who had it forged long ago in the War of the Storm Tower, the sword severed the head of Margathar the Stormbringer himself. The sword that was lost to the Sea Serpent of the Sea of Winter in the battle of Thorwald Bladestorm on his longship, the Red Mermaid. Finally, the serpent had fallen to the bottom, where it now lies and rots.
