The Rose Crest is a relic similar to the Rose Brooch that was worn by Schtolteheim Reinbach III. Originally it was crafted by Gareth, an engraver, as per Reinbach III's request. After the Dauntless landed at Middleport during the Island Liberation War and after being turned down by Schtolteheim Reinbach II, Lazlo asked that Reinbach III join him. The young narcissist agreed, so long as Lazlo retrieved the Rose Crest from Gareth in Nay, which was quickly accomplished.
